I adore the quality of these candied whole cherries. Very good used to top a piped butter cookie. Makes the fruitcake sparkle when sliced to serve. Chopped they are good in fruitcake drop cookies. To freshen the taste of these cherries, you rinse the sugar syrup off. Put in a bowl and add brandy or rum. Let it sit for several hours or over night. Then use in your favorite recipe. Or as a iced cake decoration. Perfect in the legendary Lady Baltimore cake as part of the filling and top cake with cherry haves surrounded with pecan halves. Great value.
How it taste depends on if you like candied cherries.

I originally wrote a one star review. I did not like the taste of these. However, my sister does and she's the one I'm making the fruitcake for. So if you like the taste of candied cherries then go ahead and buy these. I'm told candied cherries taste different after they're baking in something. Hope so!
