I first bought some of the Hi Mountain seasonings from Bass Pro Shops and found them yummy! The Mandarin blend was a favorite so when I ran out I knew I had to have more. I do make a little change to the blend by adding about a teaspoon of ground ginger and 5 spice to the mix, and I grind some course pepper over my meat before letting it sit for 24 hours. Doing so gives a really nice oriental and pepper seasoning to the jerky which everyone who tries it loves.
