Westinghouse Comet Two-Light fan Very Quiet and Effective

Attractive, modern looking, extremely quiet, well balanced and moves the amount of air needed to help make my bedroom comfortable. To me it is far better looking than those fans with three lights dangling from the bottom of the fan. Buy the best feature is the price when compared with the most popular fans. I intend to buy another soon. Why pay much more far a ceiling fan when this one does the job very well. It was easy to assemble if one reads the instructions and follows them. I can't think of any reason for criticizing this fan and am awarding it five stars.

Good looking fans! Nice, sleek and simple enough to blend into our eclectic decor. Love that one pull has the fan image and the other has the light bulb, but subtly. The bulbs that come with the fans don't put out a lot of light, but the light kit was just a little bonus for us anyway. Haven't tried brighter bulbs or even checked the recommended wattage yet. Fans also offer up/down direction for all year use. Nice product.
Decent fan - apparently lower quality compared to similar Hunter fans.

I purchased ceiling fans for my entire home and have had this installed for about 8 months. This is the only one that isn't a Hunter fan. It's fair. I could definitely tell that the material quality was reduced compared to the Hunter fans that I purchased in the same price range. I have fairly low ceilings (8 ft.) where this is installed (hence the need for a low profile fan) so despite the photo which appears to be taken from a lower vantage, you end up being able to see the makeup/inside/wiring of the fan where the blades attach. The light is definitely not the brightest, but that's a trade-off for the reduced profile (again, low ceilings). Also, there's a odd wobble that only occurs on occasion; once I change the speed it goes away and doesn't return for days at a time. I have yet to find a discernible cause. Ultimately, I was attracted by the look of the fan in the advertisement, but I was disappointed with the quality and by how it looked in real life. I won't be rushing to swap it out, but I think it'll happen eventually.

It is so quiet, works well, and looks great! It took quite a while to assemble and install, but not too bad. This is a great value for the price. I'm very happy with this purchase and plan on buying more of these for our other rooms to replace some of the more traditional looking fans.
