Consider a better brand

I got these to replace Cuisinart paring knives which, over time, I accidentally tossed. These are much lighter in both handle and blade. The motif on the blade shows a single 'twin' which means it is the cheaper Henckles lines. One of the tips of my previous set snapped and my daughter-in-law said one of her knife tips from an wedding gift set also broke.. Henckles makes another line, "zwillinge' which means twins in German. The design on the blade shows both twins and indicates better quality. I will remember that in the future and look either for the Twins or Cuisinart.

German stainless steel is listed in the description but the knives are..........MADE IN CHINA
Nice accompanying, cute little set of very sharp knives

These are very sharp. As soon as I get any knife, I go over the edge. The edge although sharp was slightly jagged (I have no dull blades anywhere). Just a light polish with a fine ceramic was all that was needed. They've been my go-to knives...even when I should be using my big knives that are bolstered full tang, forged Henckels. These are stamped (not necessarily a bad thing) but used strong steel. Some kind of 400 stainless I'd guess. The blade goes into the handle on the longest knife 1.5 inches. This loads the balance forward a little, but this isn't bad because it is very light weight. I've had these for about 6 weeks. I have many knives but so many are fairly large, these cure little blades hold their edge nicely.
NOT the GOOD ONES!!!

I bought the original Zwilling J.A. Henckels 4-piece set 12 years ago. I loved them. Unfortunately, over time my two favorite knives seemed to find their way into the trash and just disappeared. So I too hastily saw these and thought what a great price! But these are not the same. The first slice with one of the knives and I knew something was wrong. Not as sharp as the others and the handles are smaller. I did my research and found that the lack of the name "Zwillings" is critical, and the Henckels INTERNATIONAL is the cheaper brand. The International has one little "man" on the knife while the better Zwillings has two little "men" on the knife. I have now ordered for a good price the better ones but from another site that had a better price. (Has the word "bay" in it)

These are cheap copies of the original Henckel knives. They are from China and have plastic handles.
