Don't listen to the other reviewers that are lowering the rating on this item. Know that what you are ordering is indeed cards strung together with string and tape. Anyone who thinks they are actually electric, magnetic or actually magic clearly do not know what they are talking about and shouldn't be writing a review.
With that being said, you are getting a good trick at a reasonable price. There really isn't another way to make this product than the way they actually do. I would not recommend this for your children, unless they are either responsible, or over the age of 12. I have used it for quite some time and the deck is still fine and I wasn't great to begin with. You could argue the quality is not top notch, but it is handmade stitched and glued together so I wouldn't expect exceptional quality. As for decks of this nature I wouldn't mind grading it with an A-. I feel they used good quality string as opposed to the cheaper clear twine. It doesn't matter that the string is black because your audience should never see it. In fact, the only complaint that I even have is that this isn't a bicycle deck. The empire deck is fine, just lacks that traditional bicycle look (if you are in the U.S.) that everyone has grown to expect.
Either way, I strongly recommend this deck (especially for beginners or novices) and feel that you will be more than pleased with the quality and craftsmanship.

Not the best quality, but my son is happy with it!

My 12 year old son is into Magic Tricks and thought this looked neat. As a previous reviewer stated, there is approximately 20-25 cards linked together with string and tape, and you have to be gentle with the deck to make sure none of the strings holding the cards together break. It's not the best quality, but after four months, my son's hasn't broken yet, so he's happy with it.
Great addition to magic collection......arrived in plenty of time.

Bought this for my 'magic cracy' grandson. He LOVES it and it makes a great addition to his magic collection. I ordered early and it arrived in plenty of time for Christmas.
A classic!

Great for kids wanting to learn "corn". So funny but I wasn't sure kids knew what playing cards were.
