Grandkids asked for a pair of these and I shopped around a lot. There are plenty of places charging twice this much! So this seller is a great choice. As for the product it's great. There's something wholesome about a toy that's not made of plastic. And I think these will outlive any plastic sled. Sure they may end up with some dents but so what, they'll still work with a dent, unlike a plastic one that would crack if it hit a rock and eventually fall apart.
I noticed some reviewer had one come with the handle not secured so I took ours out of the box and inspected them the minute they arrived (happy to have read his advice because otherwise I'd likely have just left them in the box til they were given to the kids). Don't be careless and end up accepting a faulty one. But that goes for any product.
I just wish they came in multiple colors, so we could tell which one belongs to whom. I guess customizing them with stickers would be a good idea.

We've had one of these for about 8 years. It's still in good shape. It works SOOOO much better than ANY plastic sled we've tried. On a recent sledding adventure, we used this to create a nice packed down, icy path before the plastic sleds we'd borrowed would even work. My kiddos had so much fun with this, we just bought 2 more!
Super Fast....At first.

I bought this sled after breaking a regular plastic toboggan style sled. I figured since it is metal it should last a lot longer.
I was greatly anticipating the arrival of this sled. Once I received it I promptly waxed it up and proceeded to take a few runs. Holy smokes was this thing FAST! Sure it made some metal noises and got a few dents right away. I was able to get those out fairly easily but this sled was super fun and so speedy it was almost dizzying at first!
Fast Forward to 3 days of use and this sled was toast. Super crinkled everywhere. Couldn't really get the dents out and one spot had about a 3 inch crease. The sled is noticeably slower now even with more wax. I've used it a little now but it certainly isn't as fast.
I think if this sled was about twice as thick it would hold up better. Sure it would be heavier but I am okay with that!

If you're an adult who suddenly gets the crazy idea to go sledding, I recommend this one. Most sleds seem designed for tiny, lightweight humans, but this one is sturdy enough for an average-sized grown up. I sat down at the top of a hill and in my rapid descent was reminded of something I had forgotten about saucer sleds: it is very hard to control which direction you're facing, so you'll probably end up whirling around and getting dumped at the bottom of the hill flat on your back with your pants full of snow. Boy was that fun! It's been years...
A totally fun and long lasting snow toy that sails down the slopes

This steel snow saucer is absolutely awesome. I have purchased several of the plastic versions over the years and each and every one of them cracked after a few uses mainly due to the plastic freezing from contact with the snow and then being cracked by the jarring from riding down a slope. This saucer is thick steel and will not crack. Its a little pricey, but not when you consider they use you will get out of it. Additionally, because it is steel it holds its shape and therefore flies down the slopes at crazy speeds. Well worth the money and you will get seasons of use and enjoyment out of this product.
