Easy peasy

One of my garage doors kept stopping itself a few months back. Disconnected the opener opting to go manual until I could sort out the issue. After a few quick tests of the old sensors, decided to order these sensors after going to a local place that didn't have them in stock (but wanted $50+ for the ones they did have). These showed up this afternoon. Did a quick bypass of the full wire run to confirm that one of the old ones was dead then did a quick splice and tacked up the wire. Wish I had taken the five minutes months ago to pull the trigger on this easy cost-effective solution!

Install was easy. Replaced stock sensors using nice splices included. Bolted right on to original brackets. All hardware and safety check instructions included. Moms garage door now works reliably.

Excellent instructions...my 'non' handy hubby had them replaced in less than 15 minutes! He was very impressed with the wire connectors that were included. I am happy to have a functioning door again...especially without a costly repair bill! Thank you!
Solved the problem

i had the usual symptoms and almost always had to do a "force" close: if sunlight was shining on the green sensor it would almost never work, if I tapped/bumped a sensor, when ever it was raining, when there were minor cobwebs on the sensor etc etc. Basically whenever I needed it it would not close. I tried a lot of stuff. I aligned it with a string, and although I had solid green and amber lights I could not get it to work. I put shades on the units, Nope. I mounted the units separate from the door rails so there would be no vibration, nope. Bought these and new wire and installed them on a Chamberlain opener. they now work like a charm. Apparently the IR receiver or sender can get weak and even though the lights show solid green and amber, it still won't work.
