Worked like a charm

Worked like a charm! I was pretty skeptical but this little beauty is worth the money! I used splitters to run three box fans at the show. Turned off overnight and back on during the day. I was ring stewarding and couldn't come back to the stalls. It was a relief that they were on and the horses were comphy all day without my attention. Best part was the next day when the temps dropped below the prediction. The little cube took the guessing game out of needed to turn the fans on or off.

Can't say I love it. Sort of does what it is suppose to. I got it to turn on a light bulb in my well pump house when it gets down to freezing. It is suppose to turn on at 35° and off at 45°. I have a remote thermometer out there and it does manage to turn on around 32°. The problem I have is I would really like it to turn off once it gets back above freezing. I am not sure exactly when it turns off but it has never turned off below 50°. I have turned it off with a hairdryer! What this means is if I don't want the bulbs burning all the time when they are not needed and don't take my wife's hairdryer out to turn it off, I am pretty much back to going out each cold night to turn it on and each morning when it warms up to turn it off.
I would probably be happier with one of the $30 models that let you set when it comes on and goes off, but such is life as a cheapskate.
Does what it is supposed to, but does't work for my application...

I purchased this to use in my un-insulated shed during the winter to plug a space heater into. I want to keep the temp in the shed above freezing, 35-40 degrees range and don't trust the cheap thermostat of the heater itself.

Unfortunately, while this does kick on power to the outlet at 35 degrees, instead of it shutting off at an ambient 45 degrees, the amount of electricity coming through the plug to power a 1300W space heater warms the plug beyond the 45 degree point shutting it off prior to the 8x10 foot shed having the temp increase more than a degree or two. Shed was never able to get to the 40 degree range I was hoping for.

So long as you are using this for lower wattage draw, it might fit your purpose, but it didn't work for my intended application.
Great product

I use this thermocube receptacle in conjunction with a heater in a cat house. The heater has no thermostat and would run 24/7. This receptacle allows the heater to turn on at 35 degrees and off at 45 degrees, perfect for the cold winter months. I purchased one a year ago and it did not work when I tried it this winter, so purchased two more of them. The product is inexpensive, yet reliable. I have a nightlight plugged into the other side to let me know when the heater is running. It keeps my outdoor cat comfortable in the winter time. I recommend this product and it can be used for many different types of situations where you do not want something freezing.
Defective junk save your money

Defective, hasn't worked since I purchased it. Temps regularly go below 30f and I have a temp gauge right next to this in my chicken coop. Unit has not worked and seems to be a common problem with these cheap units as there is zero quality control. I'd suggest buying a different brand.
