I use this before playing any side of a record. It gets the loose dust and is easy to use. However, this is not a replacement for cleaning records.

Awesome little brush. Easy to use and does a great job removing dust, lint, and pet hair (2 dogs, 3 cats; it's inevitable). Would definitely recommend.

You can easily push too hard and because the bristles are very short and the body very sharp, damage a record.
Beware of the jagged corners!

This product has a major flaw- the corners of the compartment that houses the bristles are jagged. I was trying to clean some dust off of a record, but beause the bristles collapse with even the slightest downward pressure, the jagged corner of the bristle compartment scratched my record. I had barely pressed the bristles down at all. Now my vinyl has a large scratch going across. Not happy.

Hold it tight while using it. If you drop it on the record there are sharp corners that may ruin your most precious lps.
