I used this to replace a thermostat. I didn't need the big 3.0 ounce tube that the auto parts store was selling, so I grabbed this one and still had plenty left over. Like most Permatex sealants, you must observe the cure time for the product you are using. If you do a slap and go without the proper cure time you will be asking for leak.

I believe the water pump was installed about a year ago and it's still working now no leaks. Don't use very much and it's not needed in every application.

Anyone doubting the size of this tube should not fear! Even if you are liberal with application, you should get about two thermostat replacements out of this tube. How do I know? I did it twice because I made a mistake! 😅😂
The seal is holding perfectly! The only downside is the 24 hour cure time, but that should be expected for all sealants no matter the type.
