We ordered three of these to use as sign-in counters for our medical clinics. Before we open each morning, we have patients gathering to be seen, and we wanted a way for them to sign in so they could be seen in order of arrival without resorting to meat counter style 'take a number' system. This stand is especially sturdy and heavyweight. The dual uprights make it feel substantial, and there is no danger of it tipping. Its surface is plenty large for two or even three standard pages, and certainly for any musical score. One note: if you're tempted to buy the rubber feet that are sold separately, I should mention that a set of those consists of 3, whereas this stand has 4 feet. I didn't see where they sell a set of 4 for this particular stand, so you'd need to order two sets.

I had a version of this with one leg. And yes, it was gimpy. Having two supports makes a huge difference in terms of the amount of weight (music) it can hold. I also love the slot just below the stand - perfect for pencils, holding my small metronome, reeds and cork grease!!

My vintage work horse broke when adjusting it. I was going to weld it but then it would not adjust. I was surprised with the quality of the Manhasset. I like the base having the 2 bars that are connected. It sits stably. I am happy with the purchase.

It is rock solid with the 2 bases, I love the under storage shelf, great for multiple mouthpieces when I'm testing them out with different reeds. I use it in my practice room, it doesn't swivel, it's just strait ahead. It is huge strong, I have multiple music books stacked on top and it continues to be sturdy.

Great product would have liked a deeper ledge I like to pile a lot of music on my stand. Bought this stand for my practice and teaching studio works really great make sure you use the tolls recommended or your going to ruin it. O and get ready its really big and yes tall enough to use the stand in a standing position as I always do.
