Matched 1997 wrangler grey interior
Paul✓ Verified Purchase•March 26, 2018
Really close match for they door panels on my wrangler to match factory grey dash. I've used this paint before on other projects and it always works well. I clean the surface as best as I can and usually give it a quick wipe with acetone before spraying. Covers and adheres well. One thing that I have learn is that the paint isn't really that durable until a week or two passes so just be careful not to scratch it until it fully cures. After that time passes I've never had a chip or scratch. It dries to the touch quickly but I have gotten careless and scratch it before cure rather easily.

This product is great. I did all my interior, door panels trim pieces and dash board. Before you use it wash with a strong detergent. I used purple power a scrub brush and a scotch brite pad then wiped down every thing with prep sol Sprayed on a few coats of clear adhesion promoter 3 to 4 light coats of color. every thing looks like new.

It worked as expected
One can only covered about 6 square feet
Made my sun bleached 1992 camaro trunk cover black again
The darkness of the paint only went so dark, so once you get full coverage, it doesn't get any darker.
The faint smell goes away after being aired out for a few days

Before Replacing Your Carpet Try This!
Linda L. Clough✓ Verified Purchase•October 14, 2016
We purchased a pre-owned 5th wheel trailer. The previous owner had set a book with a yellow cover on the carpet then spilled water. The yellow color stained or bleached the blue carpet and no amount of cleaning would remove it. I ordered this paint in hopes it would at least blend the spot enough so that it didn't jump out at me. I masked off the nearby wall and bare floor and just lightly sprayed to start and I used an old terry towel to sort of crush it into the fibers where needed. I allowed it to dry a few minutes and sprayed a second coat to help cover any lighter spots. It worked so well that I can barely tell where the horrible spot was! Any difference in color shade just looks like the natural shading in the carpet. I highly recommend trying this before replacing your entire carpet. It might save you a lot!
Did my headliner in black suede and had to match the sunvisors... so far it works!

I bought the flat black fabric paint because I needed to color my sun visors in my Ranger. I re-did the headliner from the ugly sagging gray color to a nice black suede. The sun visors are that same ugly gray color and it looks just bad in contrast to the black headliner.
I found this at the autoparts store and figured I'd give it a try.
See the picture attached for the gray on the bottom and the black that I just did on top.
Overall this seems to work. I don't use the sun visors much so honestly I have no clue how this will hold up, but I can tell you that it has taken the softness out of the fabric. It's more hard now almost like if you spilled something on carpet and let it dry...
Is that bad? I don't know honestly. I just wanted it to be black, so as long as you aren't doing SUPER heavy coats it should be fine. I think I did about 10 LIGHT coats on each side.
I will update after a little time to see if it has rubbed off.
I figure with fabric there is no way to get a gloss look so that is why I picked the flat black color.
