They keep breaking

Great water items but they last maybe 6 months and tend to crack on the twist portion. My last one was the Chrome version and just stopped lighting up after 5 months or so. Don't give up on the cheap white one just remove what is on the end of your water spout and use the included adapter to attach the dispenser on your's.

Always a loose fit on the faucet adapter but never leaked there. "Chrome" plating started flaking off after a few years, especially around the filter cap and filter body where they meet. The inner and outer filter cap assembly separated somewhat a couple of years ago and the thread seal o-ring recently started to leak significantly. Held up better than the three previous versions I had purchased.

Have used Pur Plus filters for quite a few years and love the results.
