This software is very useful for beginners. The tools provided allows you to draw the layout of the desired space in no time compared to other involved softwares. Unfortunately, you cannot run this program on Windows 7. I wish if there is a way to run this software on a 64 bits, Window 7. I strongly recommend this software to all beginners.

I have used this software for several years. I created the plans for finishing my basement, among other things. Yes, it is simple. But therein lies the great thing about this software. I've used Better Homes and Gardens and much prefer Bob Vila Home Design. It doesn't look as fancy but I can have a decent design in hand in 1/4th the time it takes on the BH&G program.

Sad thing is, it doesn't run on Windows 7 -- at least the 64 bit version which I have.

I know a man who knows Vila and says that Vila is a total sell-out for money and the high life. Vila will promote any junk if paid enough. For This Old House he was the creator and producer. That is the guy who makes all the money, and Vila was "the star" even though he din't know how to do any of the remodel work himself! P.T. Barnum lives!

He is a self-promoter first and foremost, with anything else of any quality far down the list.

And, this software and the EdenPure heaters he pumps are overpriced junk, just like all else he promotes. Read Consumer Reports for the truth.

i liked the 3-d features. it also includes sample drawings that are helpful. in the end, i actually hired an architect for my project. but this was helpful to figure out what i wanted in my new home.

not to be bought they are not saying that this software is for Windows "95
