I purchased the set because it had very good ratings and reviews, but when I received it the marbles had multiple cracks and divots on top of being very similar colors. If the marbles were in better condition I would rate this in the area of four stars, but as it is I am thinking about returning just because I think one of them is cracked all the way in half and I'm not opening it like that. The board at least this very nice with deep grooves.

Very disappointed. I was hoping this board would have a slot on the side to hold the marbles when your finished with playing. The indentations for the marbles to be set on are not deep enough for us, so with the slightest bump, you guessed it. we start all over again. The game of Chinese Checkers is one that takes me back to my earlier years when we played it at least 3 times a week.

This is a great Chinese Checkers set. My wife and I love playing this with our daughter and had been looking for a good set for a while. This one fit the bill! The marbles are all quality made and uniform size. The space between the holes allows for me to grab the individual marbles without knocking others out of their respective spaces. Holes are also deep enough to ensure the marbles stay securely in space.

Arrived quickly, good color to the wood. Didn't get red marbles like showed in the picture. Which was one of the reasons I picked it. Instead it has two muted tanish in color sets, a white, black, yellow and green.. I was hoping for contrast which is easier to discriminate when playing.

Exactly what I expected. Glad that I opted to pay a little bit more to get the larger 15" set with a wooden base because I am pretty confident this will hold up over time, and I see a long future ahead of playing board games with my now 6-year-old...plus it's more attractive in wood. I read reviews saying some of the colors were too similar, and because of this I already ordered an extra set of marbles to have more color choices. The extra marbles haven't arrived yet and, if I hadn't already ordered them, I wouldn't waste my money after seeing this set in person. There isn't really any issue to me. The yellow and white are very distinct from each other, but...sure...maybe the white and pinkish-mauve could get confused in very dim lighting. Right now, though it's daylight outside (5pm), I have most windows covered with heavy drapes because it's summer and it's hot, so the lighting in my house is about mid-level (no artificial lights are on) and I can tell all colors apart from across the room. Maybe I got a good set or something, I'm just saying maybe wait until you get it home to decide if you want/need a bunch of extra marbles lying around.
