Master Magnetics Heavy Duty Magnetic Sweeper - Heavy Duty Push-Type with Release, 24" Sweeping Width, MFSM24RX

Key features
- •MORE EFFECTIVE THAN A PUSH BROOM: The best cleaning tool for metal debris on shop floors! This sweeper adds magnetic power to your clean up. Stop bending over with a broom and dustpan. This strong 24-inch magnet can collect up to 6 lbs. of metal debris
- •48" STURDY HANDLE: Master Magnetics push-style sweepers have long handles with comfortable grips, allowing you to push the rolling magnet like a carpet sweeper or a push broom. Yet, it's easier to use than a vacuum or broom
- •6" WHEELS WITH RUBBER TREAD: With wheels on each side of this powerful cleaning tool, the Magnetic Sweeper easily sweeps up small metal objects. Each wheel measures 6" in diameter and features steel bushings and rubber treads for portability
- •24" SWEEPING PATH: This heavy-duty rolling magnet boasts a 24-inch sweeping path with approximately 400 lbs. of pull. The magnet can pick up an average of 600 8-penny nails, so you can sweep large, commercial areas without clearing the magnet
- •LOAD-RELEASE HANDLE: You can quickly clear the collected materials from the magnet by pulling back on the handle. This makes it easy to transfer debris to a recycling bin. This sweeper is the perfect tool for shops, garages, construction sites, etc

The magnetic sweeper will pick up all magnetic materials lying ...
Lloyd B. Atherton•June 18, 2017
The magnetic sweeper will pick up all magnetic materials lying on the ground, slab, grass or rocky area. Worked really well but is a little to heavy to pick up and drop debris into a trash can. Suggest separating magnet from sweeper tray on cardboard first then dump into crash can. Magnet will grab onto anything magnetic so be careful when crossing heavy metal objects. Will definitely purchase more in the future for industrial use.
Really strong!

The magnet release handle leaves a lot to be desired but other than that this thing is great. It does what it says, its very strong as well. the unit is pretty heavy and youll know it if you are using this on any type of slopped ground or on a hill. It does have some issues on rough ground but that sort of makes sense since it only has a few inches of ground clearance. My advice, if you are buying this to clean up after a roofing job ( this is why we have it) low mow or trim around the house about 5 feet or so out from the house before the roofers start, this way when they are done the grass wont be to long to get the nails out of or you wont have a bunch of tall grass pulling them back off the magnet. We also use it around the horse barn, driveway, parking areas, etc. So far its held up well,Id buy it again and/or recommend to friends and family.
missing parts.

Can not give good rating to anything that comes with missing nuts and bolts. This may be fine product but as I do not keep handy supply of exact sized washers and lock nut....and the magnet release handle came with a bolt but not the 3 washers and lock nut pictured in description and needed for use.......I must now drive to hardware store, waste an hour of my Sunday and $5 on parts not in the package.
A little bit of quality control...super easy to have checklist and never send out with missing parts.

Excellent Sweeping Magnet

Love the sweeper so far! We frequently drag and magnet our gravel driveway, so I was shocked at how many nails, screws and other metal debris we found on our first sweep with this tool. Totally recommend it for anyone who may have horses, we got it because one of ours picked up a nail the other day, despite our previous magnet efforts. I did find it easier to pull behind me vs pushing it in the thicker gravel.
Like many others have stated

Function-wise, it does the job it's supposed to do and does it well. Tornado damage ripped the roof off our patio, so I knew there would be a few nails I hadn't spotted in the yard. 62 nails in the first sweep. I figure that's six flat tires, four ruined sneakers, and a tetanus shot saved. I'm rolling it over my living room carpet while I type this and it's picking up metal shavings from who knows where.
Like many others have stated, the eye bolt on the magnet was badly bent. A pair of pliers and four seconds fixed that. I felt the nuts and bolts included were very poorly suited for something this heavy that will going over some pretty rough stuff. They have all been replaced.
