where has this shovel been all my life.. ...

where has this shovel been all my life....I actually didn't use it much, because thankfully in NYC there hasn't been much snow....We recently had a snow storm in February, and I was able to finally use it....Wow...this made my life so much easier. Really durable, and literally made shoveling a walk in the park...Just push and go and your done. This shovel was able to go directly beneath the snow, picking up ice and saving time. I didn't have to keep going over the same spot over and over. Really well built and I'm thankful I made this purchase
Chore of snow shoveling done very quickly.

We just love this pusher! We got snow and then it rained and we were even able to plow through that too. Cuts the time down greatly. We purchased the 30-inch as we wanted a wider span. When you push it across the driveway all the way to the side, it looks like it was plowed. Just push the snow where you want it to go and use a regular light snow shovel to throw it if needed because this is much too heavy to throw the snow with. It is great for pushing snow down the sidewalk and when you get to the end, throw it to the side with a regular shovel. When you try to push a regular snow shovel, the snow falls over both sides and you have to keep going back and forth multiple times to get it cleared. One swipe clears it with this pusher. I am a 64-year-old woman and I was able to do it easily. I hope it lasts for many years to come. Best purchase we have made this winter!
Solid and Functional Snow Shovel

Bought this awhile back in preparation for winter and got to use it today. Shoveled my sidewalks and cleaned up the parking area. Snow removal was painless, just find your pitch and push away. Blade cut nicely and is very slick. Snow rolls off this shovel with ease, making for simple clean off. Sturdy handle and solid hardware.
Overall this shovel was a good choice for the money and will likely serve me for years to come.

Serious snow and ice remover, like pushing a razor blade

Yes it's heavy, yes it's unwieldy to use, and yes it'll give you a work out. If you're smaller in stature I'd suggest the 24" model over the 30". I use this after using the snowblower to scrape off that last 1/4" inch, or if there is a small snowfall that doesn't require using the snowblower.
Where it is outstanding is the mixed snow frozen nasty mess that gets frozen solid and hard enough to stop plastic pushers in their tracks. After a bit of use on asphalt the steel edge on this blade becomes razor sharp from honing against the surface and will peel off an icy mess like butter right down to the surface leaving nothing behind. It gets so sharp in fact that you really need to be aware of the edge at all times. When clearing after snow blowing I just push the remains into piles along the edge and run the snowblower down and back to clear it rather than pick and throw... it's heavy. Also be aware of where you set it, it's carbon steel and will leave rust stains if you're not carefull.
Think of this as pushing a 30" razor blade through ice and snow. Highly recommend!

Amazing pusher - cuts shoveling time in half or less!!!

Performs perfectly for pushing the snow. it magically rolls up and you just push the snow off to the side. As others said, it can get heavy to pick up because it collects so much snow. At that point, just pick it up in batches. The snow just glides off the blade. First time i used it was this morning after snowing all night so i had a lot of snow to shovel. It's never taken such a short time to shovel which is a big help because the cold weather affects my asthma and i cannot be outside for too long. As others said, it was enjoyable exercise and i'm not achy like I've been with regular shovels.
i bought the 24" instead of the 30" since i'm 5' 5" and i didn't want to have to pick up too much snow at one time. I thought the handle being longer would be cumbersome but it wasn;t; it's pretty comfortable to hold. And i shoveled without gloves.
