Worked great on a chip. Searched YouTube found the instructional video by permatex and paused it as I did each step. Turned out great. maybe others cannot follow directions. Also for those of you who live close to an autoglass place or don't like diy stuff a chip is covered under your insurance and you might not have to pay anything if it's not a full windshield replacement so that's something to check. Anyways great product.

I got hit by a rock and it left a one inch bulls-eye damage to the windshield. This is not the first time I had a windshield crack and I had always just put them off (hoping it going away?). This time the hit was quite deep but contained in one inch diameter which is kind of perfect for this repair kit. And it is my new car so I thought I'd give it try. I follow the instruction step by step and for the most part it is a pretty easy process. The only step it took me some time is to try to squeeze resin into the pedestal. For some reason the hole on pedestal won't hold more than a few drops so I was back and forth for a few times. The result was quite good - the center of the crack is definitely still visible but the bulls-eye spider crack almost disappeared and more importantly I feel the resin should hold the crack pretty well and prevent the crack from spreading over the time. One tip - definitely watch the youtube video. If a picture is worth a thousand words, then a Video worth a million.

Pro..Product works well and easy to use just follow the directions or go on youtube for a tutorial.
Cons..I can see the a dot from inside the car where the damage was at but it's better than a crack or chip in the windshield, also you can only repair one chip. Unless you have some double sided tape to reuse the base.
Now on another note I also tried another similar product (Visbella Windshield Repair Kit Crack...)on another vehicle with the same type damage and it.
Pros.. works just as good as the permatex and also they use the same directions but this product gives you enough materials to do two (2) chips easily and it's a little cheaper in price.
Cons..Like the permanent you can still see a tiny dot on the windshield from inside ..

This worked seamlessly. I think my windshield got a chip in it from a small rock flying up off the highway that was under construction. My assumption in using this product was that it'd simply prevent a crack from forming. However, once complete, it was hardly visible at all. I had to look really closely to even tell it was ever there to begin with. I'm very happy with my purchase of this item and would certainly recommend it to others.

This product exceeded my expectations. I got a starburst crack on my windshield the size of a nickel (includes the radials). The center of the crack was pretty small but I didn't want the radials to spread especially in the California heat. Anyway, I purchased this product the day after I got the crack and received it in 2 days. Gotta love prime! The directions and supplement video were very easy to follow and helpful. I actually fixed my crack at night because I don't have a garage or carport in my apartment complex and you have to be in a cool shaded area to do the first part of the process. For the last part of the process it says to cure in direct sunlight for 15 mins but since it was 9pm and no sun I let it cure over night and it cured perfectly! The center of the crack is filled and you can hardly see the radials it looks like a very faint X. Best product for you buck!
