The finish on these is not great. Silver is the operative word. They are not polished at all. They do polish up pretty well, but it takes copious amounts of polish, time, and power tools. Don't expect to do it without some sort of buffer &/ dremel.
I had to loosen the nuts holding the bearings; they were so tight the wheel didn't want to turn.

I have switched both my front and rear rim and tires too these by Wheel Master Cruisers. They are truly stable. Yes they are steel and in the wet you must be careful and brake before you need brakes as they are steel, They will stop you with out a problem. They are on my every day 2 stroke motor bike up and down hills all the time.
Decent Replacement Wheel

Although somewhat wider than the wheel it replaced, this wheel performs adequately. By deleting some spacers from the brake pad posts, space was made for the rim to pass between the pads. Original 24" tire required tire tools to remove from its damaged wheel. I installed the same tire on this wheel using no tools. Perfectly decent, reasonably true wheel.
