I don't know why they even plated this wheel with chrome.
(1) Almost cut myself on a jagged edge that was left from the grinding disc on the weld that held the rim together.
(2) The joint is mismatched and the weld isn't even complete on the inside of the rim, leaving a trough the entire length of the weld.
(3) Two spot welds show through to the chromed outside.
(4) The chrome is scratched up and milky in places, one rust spot.
(5) A one-eyed Chinaman must have picked it from the bottom of the barrel and trued it. Way out of true.
(6) The bearing cones were tightened so tight that I could feel each bearing while 'trying' to spin it. No telling what damage that caused.
(7) The lube for the bearings was subpar.
(8) The spoke nipples are for individual recessed nipple rims, they stick way out into the area where the inner tube is.
(9) Doesn't come with a rim strip.
An entire bike with 18 inch wheels can be had at a box store for $50.
Buyer beware!

Purchased wheel to rob the bearings for my sons bike. Walmart bike needed bearings and this was the cheapest and easiest way to replace. Rim appears to made ok.

I was happy with the rim except for the length of the spacer bar in the middle. It was wider than the one I was replacing which caused issues when I went to put it on the bike. The bike had to be modified. Thankfully it worked after that. Would have been nice to have the length listed for that when I ordered so I could've checked.
