Seamless Black Emerald Cloud
Rick Amaro✓ Verified PurchaseMarch 28, 2017
I purchased this seat on July 2015, I got the Black Emerald because is seamless.
One of the screws that hold the spring in place fell out but I was able to get a replacement screw at my local hardware, other than that is a great seat. After adjusting not only the height but also the tilt of the seat to where it felt best for me, I have ridden my bike for over 1400 miles since. The seat still looks great and it feels very comfortable. I would buy this seat again without hesitation.
Great seat at a Great price!

I replaced a more expensive seat with this one after seeing it on someone's beach cruiser. I put one on my Cannondale Bad Boy hybrid bike first, then my Sonders fat bike. I have about 800 miles on my Bad Boy and the seat is holding up perfectly. Great seat at a really great price.
Excellent seat, my butt no longer hurts after a long ride. I am getting another one!

Excellent seat, my butt no longer hurts after a long ride. I am getting another one. It is suspended with springs or something like springs. The post mount was not needed for my model. Installation was very easy on my "Specialized" Mountain Bike. I did not need to adjust the height, although I think it raised it a little so you may have to readjust your height after installation. I do not have rear suspension. I'm sure for many serious riders this might add too much mass; for people not so concerned about winning a race, I think, this is the best. This added padding as well as the afore mentioned springs, together they really smooth out the bumps. Also, it has the same basic look and size as the one I had; that is, it doesn't look weird on the bike.
A Perfectly Decent Saddle

I can strongly recommend this bike saddle if you're not too particular about adding size and weight to your ride. I've been riding a bike for 50+ years and am no longer concerned about having the fastest, lightest, or sleekest ride. That said, I still want a bike with reasonable performance. I'm on a true hybrid: Basso (with Reynolds 531) frame, salvaged Campy components from an old Motobecane Super Champion, some sort of medium quality rims. Put on a longer goose neck and conventional handlebars instead of the bullhorn bars because I want to sit up taller while riding so I can see and be seen better. But I've gotten too old to spend much time on a smaller, lighter saddle. My old one wore out and I thought i'd try the Sunlite Cloud 9 because the price was quite reasonable and I was hoping for something a little softer and more forgiving underneath me. So far, this saddle does the trick. The contours of the saddle spread the body weight evenly and the cutouts on it remove some pressure from the tender parts. The gel does add comfort without making the ride sloppy. The springs on the underside are stiff enough so I don't bounce while riding, but when I hit a bump or some uneven surface I feel that I'm absorbing less impact. It is larger than my old one (kind of cruiser bike size) and heavier, and if those are a concern then you probably won't like the Cloud 9. However, if you're looking for a little more comfort and don't mind adding a little extra weight, you could do far worse than this.
Much more comfortable than I expected

I picked this up to replace a gel seat that had torn fabric. I was hesitant looking at the various seats and finally said screw it, its just a seat & ordered this one.... I was pleasantly surprised.

It is a little thicker than most seats I looked at so you may have to lower your seat height a little (I did) so if you have no more room to lower it...fyi

I never felt any shock absorption from the springs on my old seat, but noticed it immediately on this one... I thought my old seat was pretty comfortable... no comparison, this one is way better.

I would not of thought the little cut out area in the center would make much difference in the quality of the ride, but surprisingly my man bits are pretty happy about it as well...

Overall it think its a good price for a nice comfortable seat, I would definitely order it again.

For under 25.00 you're not going to do better, and you'll hopefully be as pleasantly surprised as I was :)
