Even though it's small, the shovel itself is quite large and scoops up a lot of snow easily. The handle is expandable which keeps me from bending over too much. Love the blue color too!

I purchased this for our 5 year old son to help with shoveling snow as opposed to a tool to store in the car. He enjoys the sturdiness and shovel size that's just right for even wet snow. I have a steel transfer shovel in my car for emergencies, but if I did not have that, I'd would use this product. Like any plastic shovel, the leading edge is fraying, but it's used as often as we have to shovel snow here. Well-made and sturdy.

We camp. Sometimes the cement pad under the table has dirt/sand from rainstorms, too thick to be able to sweep easily. This is my solution, tho I haven't had to use it, yet. I can say it seems sturdy enough for scooping sand, dirt or snow in times of emergency and collapses to a good size for easy carrying in the trunk or in our pop-up camper. I don't think you'd be able to dig into dirt with it. It's wasn't designed to do that. It would be like trying to dig with a dustpan. It will be a handy tool to have with us. Great price, too!

Terrific for shoveling for people who can't lift a lot of snow due to size or injury. The handle doesn't always lock tightly and has a tendency to twist, but it's otherwise perfect for small jobs. Obviously won't break through ice and may not be best for heavy, wet snow.
