Allied Precision The Premier Line 742G Bucket Water Heater, Electric Immersion Heating Element Heats 5 Gallons of Water in Minutes with Auto Shutoff, Submersible Design is Heavy Duty and Portable 120V

Key features
- •HEAT 5 GALLONS OF WATER IN JUST MINUTES. Drop the portable bucket heater into water and it automatically starts working. While immersed, it will heat continuously past 150 degrees F and towards boiling, depending on the volume of the water and the container's insulation.
- •AUTOMATICALLY SHUTS OFF TO PREVENT OVERHEATING. Thermostatically controlled immersion water heater, means it automatically turns on and off as needed to maintain water temp. It will not overheat and saves power when not needed. Use for cold weather and travel.
- •LARGE DESIGN FITS PERFECTLY IN 5 GALLON BUCKET. Don't mess around with the smaller coil type submersible water heater products. The large size of the API Bucket Heater is designed to rest submerged in a 5 gallon bucket. Must be in 9" of water to work properly.
- •SAFE FOR USE IN ALL PAILS AND BUCKETS. Meets UL standards and is CSA listed. The stainless steel guard on the electric bucket heater protects the heating element from touching the bucket and prevents damage to the element itself. Won't melt plastic buckets.
- •EXTRA FEATURES DESIGNED TO GIVE YOU YEARS OF USE. Designed for heavy duty use. 6 foot power cord; 120v and 1000 watts; 3 prong plug. Used in many trades including masonry work, concrete work, wallpapering, agriculture, professional cleaning and more.
- •Designed to continuously heat buckets of water

Does the job
AC•November 19, 2017
It certainly keeps the water hot, and does so for long periods of time. As with all bucket warmers, you have to treat it well and only run it while it is in the water, and keep it from being completely submerged, but if you do so it does exactly what it is supposed to do.
I bought this to dye fabric, by soaking it in a large, eighteen-gallon plastic storage bin, with a cover over most of it. This was not particularly successful in itself, but the water did stay hot, about 180F I believe, for hours and hours.

Used this in a (Intex Swim Center Inflatable Family Lounge Pool, 88" X 85" X 30") as a birth pool. Using first warm water from the tap, this unit kept the water warm in the pool for many hours. It was sufficient to last through the whole process.
Good solution for plumbing issues
Holly•December 20, 2016
water heater is broken which has caused a multitude of plumbing problems around the house including a lack of hot water. Cold showers were fine in the summer but NOT in the winter. This takes about four hours to heat up my tub really warm. Would rather have my plumbing issues fixed but....in the meantime, this works.
Baptistry Heater also
MRSherwood•November 25, 2016
I order two of these. I am a co-pastor at my church and we ordered these to heat a 500-700 gallon baptistry. I filled the baptistry on Friday afternoon and the temp was a toasty 87 degrees for Sunday morning. I made a couple of flotation devices made of 1 square foot hard foam insulation and I kept the wire from getting wet with pipe tube insulation! It worked heavenly!
Arrived Broken

I purchased this product in September for a project I was planning. When I finally took it out of the box yesterday it failed to heat anything. Its not a complicated device but i still spent half the day trying to find some way to repair it. I failed to find any information on fixing it, just many people with a similar story. This is just a piece of metal with a wire coming out of it. If that's worth 50 dollars to you go ahead and buy it. If you'd like water heated, I'd suggest you find another product.
