I bought this cane for my elderly mom as my sister's cane, made for very obese person was considered too heavy; we needed a lighter cane. I gave it a three for sturdiness and stability as it feels a little wobbly but strong enough. I'm not afraid it's going to break, but there is a little bit of play. I wanted to be honest; the perception of stability and sturdiness is an individual thing. The weight is great, very light! I appreciated the price; the PT said to look to look at the thrift store. The only adjustable cane that I found, on the particular search day, was only a few dollars cheaper than this price, and the rubber tip was missing so I considered this an acceptable bargain. I didn't have any issues or difficulties with the adjustments, no slippage; I didn't care for all the white stickers, but I haven't tried to remove them.

I broke my hip, so while recuperating and healing I needed some extra help navigating around the house. Of course, I'm hoping for this to be a temporary help, so didn't want to spend a bunch on something that would be set aside after a while. This very nice metal Medline offset handle cane works beautifully, and it's adjustable for either a man or woman. I researched about how to use a cane, the proper height, which side to hold it, and etc. Very helpful and informative. Well, I'm still using it and glad for it's presence, especially in the mornings. It also has a nice built in strap for the wrist for safety. This one only came in the color black, a nice neutral color that goes with everything.

I purchased this cane for my mother who recently had a spontaneous break in her hip and femur due to advancing osteoporosis. As she transitioned at physical therapy from a walker to a cane; partially load bearing on her affected leg now, I learned the importance of the right fit in a cane and started looking for an adjustable cane with a comfortable, easy to grip handle. This Medline Offset Handle Cane fit her needs perfectly!

The build quality is excellent and the cane is easy to adjust. The handle is comfortable to grip and made of a non-slippery, yet durable foam. The loop off of the handle can be looped around the wrist to help prevent inadvertent loss of the cane, and the rubber tip offers stable, strong support.

My mother is 5'6" and 155 pounds. The cane is adjusted three notches from the bottom, hitting her just at her wrist, which the PT folks say is the ideal. The cane is made of metal and feels very substantial.

I'm very pleased with this purchase, which I would have expected to have paid at least twice as much for locally, but found for less than ten dollars on Amazon with free shipping. I highly recommend it, if you or someone you love is in need of similar assistance.

I just bought this cane for my wife who is recovering from some Sciatica. The cane itself is fine. It appears very well made, strong, sturdy, easily adjustable, and securely tightens with a lock ring after adjustment. The handle is soft and works well.

So, you ask why not 5 stars? Actually nothing to do with the cane. As others have also commented on, there are multiple stickers on the glossy black painted part of the cane. Some are obviously intended not to be removed, fine. Those appear to be some type of mylar and have the model and brand information and weight ratings. Fine. There were also 2 paper labels, one on top of another. The bottom one appears to be the manufacturers UPC sticker and the one on top an Amazon inventory bar code and description sticker. Both of these, especially the bottom one used some super-duper super high tack adhesive that just won't come off. I have managed to get all of the paper off, but what is left is sticky goo that dirt sticks to. I've tried Isopropyl alcohol, Windex, finger nails, paper towels, rubbing with fingers all without much success of getting the goo off. What is left is worse than the label, sticky, messy goo, with some little balls of goo that have clung to other parts of the cane. I spent almost an hour fighting with the goo and finally gave up. There were also other labels and stickers, but only one of those stickers left a little more glue.

So, the cane is fine. No complaints with the cane at all, it is worth 5 stars. The labels and glue are beyond absurd - really stupid on the part of the manufacturer and Amazon. If you need these labels either use low tack adhesive, or put the cane in a plastic bag and the stickers on the bag, don't damage the product itself for inventory bar codes!

If you do choose to buy this cane, my suggestion is to just leave the ugly bar code stickers on. Don't try to remove them. The ugly stickers aren't as bad as the goo you will have remaining if you try to remove them.

This is a great blend of lightweight and strength. I really love my heavy Medline steel cane for short jaunts, just for the sheer sturdiness and the fact that you could easily make a defensive club out of it. However, when you're hobbling long distances and want something a little lighter, this is the cane you want. It's easily as light as my folding cane, yet feels much more secure. It is rated for 300 pounds, so I like the extra peace of mind there. I like the foam grip and only time will tell how well it holds up. The wrist strap is helpful when I have to unlock a door or something and don't really want to drop my cane. As I'm sure that other reviewers have mentioned, some of the stickers on this sucker need picked at then soaked in WD-40 to loosen them up enough to completely remove them. As it arrives, it looks like a shiny, new, black car covered in bumper stickers! I realize the manufacturures have to put so much info with the cane, but why not put it all on an easily removed tag? If you have been using a heavier cane, let yourself get used to this one as it's a quick swinger and you might get ahead of yourself a little bit. The best part of all is I used my Amazon reward points and scored this baby for 22 cents! I hope they don't discontinue that program just because I wrote that. LOL
