I have this located in the front bumper of my 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix going with a metal pipe through the fender brace.
When I step on it, I hear it immediately and it has made a great increase in throttle response. I am noticing a drop in gas mileage but that is because I can't keep my foot off the pedal with how nice it sounds. I'm sure once I get over it, MPG will reflect a nice difference.
The biggest pleaser is that with this filter, my air intake temperature gauge shows only 1 degree above outside air temperature even if I am sitting parked or stopped at a red light. I spent less than $100 on this filter and pipes included, and it performs and looks nicer than any pre-made kits.
