Attractive, well built, good proportions. Purchased to act as a TV tray to carry dinner to another room or outside and to place on my lap as a dining surface. I had some old bamboo trays that came apart if you used the handles and were flimsy. I liked the idea of the lip on this saddle tray to keep everything in place, which it does very nicely.
I only gave it 4 stars because of its size. It does not hold a dinner plate and really is too small for a lunch plate or at least my lunch plate, due to the sloping sides. I use a folded wash cloth underneath the lunch plate to lift the base up high enough to fit in the tray. Small plate with bowl (soup and salad) works great. Could see a couple of drinks and a pitcher for summer lemonade, etc. it is sturdy enough fo that weight.
I have a couple of steps and a storm door to navigate to go outside, so the raised sides are great for keeping everything on the tray.
I really like them and would order more if they came in a larger size.

Do you really need a two piece bread board?

We typically buy our bread unsliced, so a good breadboard is important to us. I like the idea of the removable top so you can dump crumbs, but it's sort of an overengineered solution to a minor problem. We store this standing on its side in a cabinet with other cutting boards and cookie sheets, and it is a bit of a pain to reach for it and have it separate into two pieces when you are trying to get it out. The wood is not the best I have encountered. Still, not bad for the price, and it is easy to clean
Looks good; not necessarily for fat modern "bagels"

It looks good in the kitchen. Mine arrived with the handle broken off (it had just been glued in place). I merely glued it back on with better glue. Unfortunately, the fat non-bagels that pass for bagels today won't fit into them. If you have a source for traditional sized bagels, this will work fine.
Label won't come off without the use of chemicals

Great looking bread board. My only complaint is that it's impossible to remove the label without using chemicals like Goo Gone. Why should it be so difficult?
Note to seller -- please consider that most buyers (like me) probably would like to take the labels off the tools that they use in the kitchen, like this product.
