This stain performed exactly as I expected. Used it for a quick DIY/upcycle project and I love the result. The 4, instead of 5, stars was because it took quite some time to dry & the odor was extremely overpowering even after "dry".

I followed the instructions and opted to wipe it on with a clean sock whose mate disappeared into the ether long ago. I started with a very light wood (this box: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B010NVO7NG) and ended up applying many layers over a day or two to get the box's color to the desired darkness. I used about half the can. It did make my one bedroom apartment smell for about a day or two, so I kept the central fan running to keep air circulating after ensuring that wouldn't result in dust getting into the wet finish. I have no complaints about this product.

This wood stain turned out beautifully and had a premium finish. It really brought out the beauty of the wood while still allowing me to give the sign a rustic finish.

If you actually use this stain instead of just leaving a nasty review based on nothing more than looking at it in the can... you can see that once it's applied to wood, in my case pine, it looks just like weathered oak. It matches the picture on the can exactly. Almost like they know what they're doing over there at Minwax. It made my cheapo pine look great, 5 stars

Really pretty color. I had my front door refinished and it came out looking pretty and new. I look down at the threshold and the wood looked terrible. I said to myself I can sand, stain and polyurethane this so I got busy. Hopped on Amazon ordered my supplies. Sanded it down in preparation and went to work. I applied the stain let it dry added a second coat let it dry and than polyurethane. It looks great and new and goes great with the door. I ended up doing the other 2 wood thresholds at my house and they turned out great. Easy project.
