The color is a dark brown. On metal, it results in a mirror-like surface, although it needs 24 hours to dry. On wood, it dries in 1 or 2 hours and the finish is almost as good as it is on metal, depending on the smoothness of the wood.

FYI, this should be re-named "Silver Grey" not weathered grey. weather you thin it or not. its just plain silver stain. I will be testing a spot to add some other stain and get a more authentic weathered look. this just looks shiny & silver.
