I bought this as a gift for someone. I have one of my own, but with black sand and a much smaller starfish. I can't find the black sand one anymore, but I found this, made by the same company. I sought this out, because I LOVE mine. It transports me to the beach. It's perfect to put on your desk as a quick mood adjuster/bad day pick-me-up. Shake it and you have a new seascape. It's gorgeous. The starfish in the one I bought recently is very similar to the one in the photo. It's a nice happy little starfish, but still large enough to dominate. It's a perfect gift for someone special, including yourself!

This item was shipped very fast and packaged nice and safe. The glass globe filled with sand and seashells was beautiful; however, the lone starfish inside the globe, was broken. I LOVE starfish and this was the main reason I bought this product, so needless to say I was quite bummed about it.

Order processing and delivery of item were excellent. Was told it would arrive between the 2d and 5th of the month. Received it on the 1st. I am enjoying my sandglobe since it is a reminder of my recent vacation to Sanibel Island. Just keep in mind that you may not get a sandglobe like the one pictured. I was certainly expecting to receive one similar to the picture. Mine was not. The star fish is probably about the size of a half dollar and in order to see some of the other shells I must move the sand about. Revised my rating and adding to my initial review. In today's mail I received a package from Dune Design, which I wasn't expecting. Inside was a complimentary new sandglobe very similar to the one pictured. This company really surprised me since I HAD NOT said anything to them directly. They have gone above and beyond to make sure one customer was completely satisified with their purchase. It also lets people know that Dune Design does read the reviews. I would like to thank them for their thoughtfulness. Really they deserve more than a 5. Again Dune Designs thank you.

I absolutely love my Sand & Shell Sandglobe! It's a good size (4") and every time I turn it i find a new shell. It's so fun! I'm from New England but live in Colorado right now and I really miss the ocean so this is a good reminder of the beach & ocean for me.

This was for a gift to a teacher so I don't know how well it's held up, but when I received it and openened it, it was adorable. Really brought me back home. I'm from Florida and live in GA now, so this really made me nostalgic. I plan on getting one for myself. I gave it 4 stars because I think the price is a little high. If they'd at least throw in free shipping, it would help.
