Cheaply made, bends too easy with extra large mailbox.

I bought this to attach to the extra large gibralter mailbox... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000CSK3RA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Although it does fit all USPS approved mailboxes, as this one is, the material is not strong enough to support this large mailbox without bending, and I certainly would not use just 2 to support this extra large box. I actually bought 2 sets as I knew it would probably need the extra support, but I had to add center screws thru the middle of the box also to screw directly to the wood so the box would not flex when the door is closed. This required additional work as the holes are not recessed enough to have the screw heads flush with the floor of the mailbox. So I had to install a cover for the floor.

Not sure what the problem the other reviewers had with this product but I think it works just fine, especially for the price. While the product description says it's for a wood post, I simply switched out the wood screws provided with a couple of nuts/bolts I had on hand to attach it to my metal post. If you have an extra large mailbox like I do, for additional support, place a thin piece of wood between the mailbox and the post.
