Works GREAT! Stained a 280 sqf deck TWICE in about 2 1/2 hours including all the railings. My only advice is to make sure you STRAIN your stain. This gums up if you have any clumps of stain in the spray. If I used a strainer from the dollar store I could have cut my time down by at least 30 minutes. Break down is simple and quick.
Just what I needed to ptotect my totem pole.

I purchased this sprayer to add a protective coat of Cabot Australian Tree Oil to a totem pole carved from a large pine tree trunk. The job took 6 hours using brushes last year. This year it took less than 2 hours with the sprayer, and the coverage was far superior.

It would work better for small jobs. It is very precise and reduces my need to mask the project. I am using it to restain the shingle on my house. It's alittle slow, but still much better than a brush and it is much easier to control than the Wagner power sprayer that I bought 15 years ago.
