Vornado makes some of the highest-quality fans available, no question. I was shopping for something small to use in my bedroom- just to keep the air from stagnating. After purchasing the Vornado 630, it was clear the lowest setting is just too high for what I need. But in the smaller range of their products, there aren't really a lot of great options (at least not on Amazon). Let's compare the lowest settings:

Vornado 630 Mid-Size Whole Room Air Circulator Fan: 222 CFM / 40 dB
Vornado 533: 156 CFM / 36 dB (sadly, not available on Amazon)
Vornado 460 Small Whole Room Air Circulator Fan, Black: 185 CFM / 39 dB
Vornado 133 Compact Air Circulator Fan: 85 CFM / 43 dB

You can see the Vornado 533 offers a low speed that is about 30% lower than the Vornado 630, with a noise reduction of about 10%. The Vornado 460, despite having a lower number in it's name, is actually more powerful than the Vornado 533 (and honestly the 460 is almost identical to the 630). The Vornado 133 has only two settings, the highest of which tops out at 114 CFM. But it's louder than any of these other fans!

UPDATE: It looks like the Vornado 533 might be available on Amazon, labeled as the Vornado Cr1011606 Compact Air Circulator? It's hard to tell. Unfortunately, it looks like I'm no longer able to return the Vornado 630 I purchased. Otherwise, I'd try to buy this one and see if it's much better :(

this item has blown wonderfully powerful air around my 12 X 14 bedroom for a couple of years now.
It is very easy to remove the cover to wipe away the dust that builds up on all fan blades and screens,
If only there were some way to add a slight filter (while keeping the same outpouring of pressure to the entrance to make it easier to just remove and replace than having to clean each ring, and maybe a way to add a cinnamon fragrance along with the filter.

Small unit, tons of output, solid construction. Very similar to the Honeywell HT-908 Turbo Force also available on Amazon with comparable performance but this unit is more expensive. I like the build and appearance of this unit a little better but regardless of looks it can circulate air in a fair sized room. We use these to move cool air between rooms in our older home that does not have central AC.

I can't say enough good things about this fan. It's extremely quiet on the low setting. On the medium setting, which is what I most frequently use it on, it creates an even, relaxing white noise whoosh while operating. This fan moves a tremendous amount of air for its size. It really seems to circulate the air around the room rather than just blow air in a particular direction. It works so much better than my ceiling fan! I have mine on the floor next to my wall vent (I have central air) and it makes a huge difference in how cool the room feels.

It's pretty loud, at least the air moving is, which isn't its fault really. Having a much larger fan at home for 30 bucks, I was a little upset this fan seemed not not move as much air as it for double the price. If space is a concern I'd go with this fan.
