I bought this so my cat could have a drink ...

I bought this so my cat could have a drink of fresh water whenever he wanted. It sits too low in the bathroom sink for Paddy to drink from so I had to move to the kitchen sink. Not an ideal location but it works. The only issue is that it makes a noise when it senses and that startles Paddy and he sometimes hesitates and walks away. He's getting used to the noise so he'll sip longer now.
Leaky and hard to clean sink.

Attached to two different faucets, but both leaked and it was hard to clean the sink around the unit. Decided to donate instead of going through the hassle of returning it.
Pros:
Simple design.
Chrome look.
Easy to attach.
Unit is to the side of the faucet.
Lightweight.
Cons:
Does not fit all "standard" faucets.
Difficult to set the water pressure.
Bulky unit.
Leaks around the gasket.
Requires four AA batteries.
Battery compartment is cheap.
Slow response time.

Works great. Cats learn to use it quickly. I only have one small cat that doesn't have enough body mass to be detected. All of the other cats love it! I love it too, because it saves water. We had begun leaving the water on trickle all of the time. We don't have to now.

Maybe I'm just lucky. I've used mine in a tattoo studio a lot for over 4 years with no major issues (if you read the manual, most problems are easy to fix). I've changed the batteries once. Kinda clunky looking, but works well.

I bought this because I have a crazy smart cat who turns on faucets. I don't mind that, but she leaves them on forever.... this way, she can mess around with the sink and drink fresh water and not flood the bathroom.
