I love this bell and it's so handy. I lost my voice in cancer treatment and it's a great way to get people's attention. I can't blow a whistle so this works well for me. It seems more lady-like too.

The 'ring' is very quite. I'm needing it to work in a school setting, so it probably would work in a home where the noise is not as loud. I have to really RING the bell to get it to produce the ring I need and the weight inside does not swing very well. Overall, I think it would work in a quieter setting, but for my application it isn't worth the trouble most of the time.

when we had an elderly parent come to live with us....this was a LIFE SAVER.
Hard to believe every pharmacy doesn't stock these anymore...but we called all over and no one had one.
Luckily, Amazon PRIME came thru for us. high quality - would last for generations I'm sure.

I bought this so that I could train my cat to come when she hears it. It has a nice sound and carries well through the house. The slightest touch and the bell chimes. Every time she hears it, she comes running. No more playing hide n seek with the Kitty. She comes every time to get her reward.
