So far so good. Been outdoors on the rig for about 2 months now and looks to be holding up fine. It is a soft-hard plastic type of material, I can band it a tad bit, but it springs right back to its normal shape immediately. Will keep an eye on it for the time being to see if it cracks like other's has. Wish it was more form fitted though. It is a bit loose, but I suppose that would be better to be a bit loose than trying to get it off for 5 min in the bush when you need it off quickly. Suppose you could also just use some duct tape if you were trying to save money. This just looks more professional.

As many others have now reviewed, these things break SO easily. After mind broke, I tried flexing one of the intact halves. It's about an inch thick to rubber, which should be indestructible... I easily stressed it enough to form a crack, and then it propagated as if the material were brittle. I'd rather rig something up myself than buy a new one.

Forgot to update my review, but mine broke just like the picture someone else had posted. Had to be from strong vibrations from going over bumps and what not. And I dont even do that extreme off roading compared to what a normal Jeep owner should be doing.

Love my Hi-Lift Jack. Bought my handle keeper in May 2015. They have no business selling this Handle-keeper when it isn't built to last more than a few months. My lift is mounted to my hood and this was bought to keep the handle still and secure. The inside tabs on the 'cross' portion of the keeper that go around the lift (not the handle rod) broke first making the handle sag. The weight of the sag eventually made whole handle-keeper split on one side which disallowed it to hold anything further. Parked outside and driven as daily driver. Lasted 4-5 months. If it were $5, I would complain less...
Don't buy if you own a jeep.
