this is a PERFECT solution for laptop/clothes/lunch ride to work
Robert EscamillaMarch 1, 2018
paired with the MTX bags, this is a PERFECT solution for laptop/clothes/lunch ride to work. So far I've had no flying panniers, and my colleague uses his for a Li-Ion battery pack for his E-Bike. Very impressed after months and hundreds of miles.
Worth the money!

I've had this rack on my ride for a while now, its stayed solid through an estimated 40 to 50 miles of bike-packing, and some jumps and hard trail sprinkled in there. All the welds are holding up well, its gained several scratches and dings from impacts now, but nothing that interferes with structural integrity yet.

I love the rail system Topeak has designed. I use a couple different bags, and when I'm out checking trail cameras, the quick track system makes it a breeze to just unsnap and hike into the cameras with everything in a MTX bag.

I have this rack installed on a Co-Op DRT 1.2. Had no issues installing over 27.5 inch wheels.
Bulky, non-removable disc brake spacers ruin an otherwise solid bike rack
A. S. RobertsJuly 17, 2017
Rack appears sturdy and strong, but the spacers for the disc brakes are welded to the rack and they are HUGE and SQUARE. If you also have fenders on your attach points, this rack very likely WILL NOT FIT next to your other accessories. If you have no other accessories or have larger than average spacing between the screw holes on your rear frame, this could work for you. Otherwise, find a rack with thinner spacers (I ended up with the Ibera IB-RA5).
Easy to Install

Sturdy rack that's easy to install. I only wish it either came with the longer brackets or allowed you to purchase with a choice of brackets. It was a bummer to have to buy the longer ones separately and end up with a shorter set than won't be used.
Good choice (with a small wish)

The rack construction is solid and easy to install. Size is excellent being neither too small nor too large.

I really really wish the two aluminum colored bars that attach it to the frame below the seat post were black like the frame. My bike is black, the rack is black and the attaching "rods" are aluminum color. I'll likely paint the bars myself.

Do not let the color effect your decision. This is a well made and nice fitting rack.
