Amazing instrument
Don't be afraid to look into getting this bass.

I purchased this for my middle school jazz band bassist. I also purchased a bass stand. It has had no problems. I am hoping to convince my lovely wife to purchase me one for Christmas this year. My only recommendation is that someone creates a better "comfort bar". It needs to be wider or have an attachment that curves towards the player so the bass can sit against the player better. Some players use a piece of rubber under the bridge feet to help deaden the sound a bit. It has a very "live" sound to it but I use the amp controls to deal with that.
I'd also love a hard case with it because I just hate gig bags.

Excellent Instrument for my Worship Band

I was given this bass as a gift and absolutely love it, It was already used when I got it but I have had it for about 6 months now and have been very happy. I use it weekly in my Church's worship band and on our local touring gigs. It is easy to tote back and forth and has a good sound.
PROS: 1) Good Sound--real bass, 2) Fingerboard is close enough to a real upright to be comfortable 3) Also sounds good arco 4) String height was easy to raise when I started using a bow again. 5) Headphone jack for late night practice
CONS: 1) Barely fits in the gig bag it came with and I can't find a hard case anywhere. 2) The battery wire to the 9v that powers the pickup is flimsy. One of the contacts broke off and I am currently using a little wad of aluminum foil to make the connection.
