The Bruder CAT 'dozer has proven to be useful on the job. It features a blade up front the can be raised when driving over rough terrain and it also pivots from left to right so you direct your load as needed. There is also a "ripper" in the back, although this usually stays in the most up-right position as we don't have much of a use for it. A great value compared to the other Bruder construction vehicles and the quality and functionality doesn't disappoint. We use this toy strictly indoors on a road made of foam board. As other reviewers have mentioned, the tracks can get clogged with small debris, like the rocks pictured. It does best on rougher surfaces, most likely rugs or carpeting for any potential buyers that want to know. Rubber inserts are included for the tracks for "traction" on slick surfaces. I have not tried to use these. My son is 3 years old and loves all the Bruder toys we've accumulated, although he only plays with them under my supervision. If you have younger children, as I do, these are not "playroom" toys. They have small parts and should be handled with care, however they are not cheaply made. If you like spending time with you kids and showing them how to both enjoy and learn from using the fine toys Bruder makes, these are for you. See pics for the 'dozer in action.

Made from genuine authentic plastic. I'm not sure if it's dishwasher safe but mostly plastic and I would say about 50% detail than one I would like to have but it was cheap. The best part about it is the tracks look authentic.

I can not believe a manufacturer would produce a toy made so fragile...knowing this would probably be used by a little boy playing outside. I got this for Christmas for my 3 year old grandson....it has been too cold or muddy for him to take it outside since Christmas so he hasn't got to push dirt or play as a little boy would with this type of toy. Already the blade is broken into 2 pieces and broken where it attaches and 2 of the plow disc in the back are broken off. the back plow piece constantly comes off....the exhaust is broken off the tractor at the base....the tracks are starting to slip....this thing cost $31.99..as I remember.....a total waste of money unless you want to buy it for a model tractor and set it on a shelf just to look at!!

I love Bruder and own 3 of their trucks. But this one is poorly designed. My son had had this 3 weeks and the smoke stack broke off and now the back part with the 3 hooks broke off. I dont know if I got a lemon? The other 2 Bruder items I have are over a year old and nothing is broken on them. Im sad that my son is sad its broken and seriously wont be considering Bruder in the future. I have already bought him a Fire Truck from a competitor and it works great. No broken parts either :)

Most detailed childs toy I've seen in a while. I would not recommend it for small children (younger than 4) due to small parts. I would however recommend this for collectors and anyone who is like me, a big kid at heart. This bulldozer makes a great candidate for an rc swap.
