This pump works very well to drain excess water from the pool in the winter. It is a replacement for a previous pump also by Flotec that had lasted for 30 years!

I use this pump for various jobs on my property and it's definitely a workhorse. More than once I have forgotten I was using it and it ran dry for hours. I thought it would have seized up but it's been fine every time. I wish they used stainless steel screws though. The screws began to rust so I replaced them alll.

the pump works just as advertised. I have used it only two times so only time will tell if it will fall apart.

This little pump with a garden hose Y was just enough to keep the water from running into my buddy's house & ruining his hardwood floors. Made a simple sump out of large colander & it worked like a champ.
