This was a gift for my granddaughter's birthday and settling into her first apartment - I introduced Rada Cutlery to her mom, my daughter, who later sent me a set of their steak knives for a Christmas gift one year. Well made, sharp, terrific knives and excellent brand. This set was a wonderful gift.

That veggie peeler is great and the flat, square cooks knife is AWESOME! I bought this set JUST for those 2 but still occasionally use the others. Hubby loves the tomato slicer. But, don't be surprised if they darken up on you if you leave them in the sink dishwater or in the dishwasher. We hand wash this new set, for now. Our other steak knives have that darkened patina that show they've been around for years. In fact, I inherited one that I bought my mother over 20 years ago! I can't say enough good things about their products or their customer service! If you're on the fence about them, just buy the peeler. That's all you need to know how well they are made!

My son and daughter-in-law don't cook as much as I do so I don't think they knew how sad their knives were but when I was at their house I couldn't even find one decent one so I purchased these for them. If you've never had better you don't know you're missing out. They have both commented to me now how much they love these and what a huge difference they make. There is no way you can beat the price of these for the quality. I've used this brand for many years and have never had to replace any of them. The new black handles look very contemporary which is the look they were going for.

I do like them as they are super sharp. However, they are smaller knives than you would expect. Even the largest chef's knife is not very big. I have small hands, so they are okay for me. I bought both of the Starter sets. They certainly make my kitchen prep work a lot easier.
Two years and going strong. No rust, supremely easy to sharpen, and inexcusably affordable.

Don't have a kitchen without a set of knives that you will actually use -- it forever changes your experience of cooking at night. If you need a basic but complete set of sharp, durable knives at a great price then these are absolutely your guys. Mine are sometimes hand-washed, sometime tossed in the dish washer -- but if you invest in a $5 knife sharpener then these guys will be sushi-chef quality every night. Because of the price, they don't have the heft of the top-shelf knife sets, but unlike retail knife sets you find in stores, these aren't garbage that will inevitably rust or disintegrate within 8 months. If you don't have real knives, don't think any more: buy these and don't even sweat using the box to store them like I did for a year. You don't get a wood block with them but I've never cut a tomato with a wooden block anyways.
