Strips spray paint off of a metal surface really well
Ryan G.✓ Verified PurchaseJuly 5, 2018
Worked perfectly for stripping paint overspray off of an aluminum surface. It will also polish the aluminum pretty well. Make sure you use a respirator though...lots of dust, even with a dust collector bag on the orbital sander.
Works As Advertised

Works like its described. I am using it to remove heavy deposits of silicone caulk. Unfortunately it's still very slow. I am not blaming the product I just need to go with a lower grit. It does well on the smaller deposits and very maneuverable in corners and close work.

great for removing surface rust and doing light prep work before paint. I used it on my car frame prior to paint, makes the job quick and easy.
Only paint removing wheel i have found that doesn't mar
RichW✓ Verified PurchaseApril 23, 2018
Worked very well for me removing both paint & varnish without marring the wood I was working on. For multiple coats of paint I did lightly scrape and then follow with this and it was a breeze. Left the wood looking like it had been sanded to 180 but if using on very thick finish they do wear out faster.
Worked Perfectly On My 100 Year Old Wood Floor
Dominic M DeAngelo✓ Verified PurchaseAugust 4, 2017
I used this varnish remover to take varnish and stain off of a 100-year-old wood floor that was carpeted when we bought the house. The room size is 12' x 12' and this inexpensive wheel did the entire floor and made it look like the original wood again. The wood itself was in almost flawless condition except for the rug adhesive (which it also removed) and nails in the boards that started popping up. I think the floor would cost a fortune to buy today.

Renting industrial strippers and sanders was an option, but expensive, a pain to haul back and forth, and limited to a 24-hour time frame. Plus, we would of had to buy the discs or whatever those machines use. Don't get me wrong, it probably took 10x the amount of time to complete the project with this wheel instead of the industrial options, but we were not under any time constraints.

I would recommend this product to anyone! Oh, and the wheel still has some life in it. Most of the wheel was used during the process, but surprisingly it still has enough fiber to do another project in the future.
