high quality but still seems to love keeping a memory
Jared M.✓ Verified PurchaseAugust 12, 2023
apparently high quality but still keeps a coil/has memory despite stretching thoroughly as described in various places and storing in various ways. i guess it's just a matter of using it a lot and over time it becomes the "dead snake" that i'm so desperately after. my friend has a hitachi one that he uses for his building business and it's weighted nicely and goes wherever he wants without a memory fighting him. but he's had it for a decade so that is probably the difference.
Professional quality and performance

A contractor buddy has a few of these and takes them everywhere he goes. I had the pleasure of using his a few times. The flexibility, quality and lightweight always impressed me. I now have one of my own- looking to buy another. There is no better air hose on the market.
Pro's outweigh the Cons
D. Harman✓ Verified PurchaseJuly 26, 2023
The pro's outweigh the cons on this hose. It's very lightweight, easy to coil and transport, it's reasonably tough having been dragged over concrete and decking for a while with no signs of cuts or abrasions even after stepping on it a number of times. It moves air very well and I like it.

It does have a memory however, and even after quite a bit of use it's only relaxed about 10-20% from new. If like me you're using this for a small HVLP sprayer and you find yourself working towards the compressor, it's going to be in a pile at your feet. Easy enough to kick out of the way ( it's tough enough to take it) but you do need to be aware of it, especially if you're on a scaffold. I've tried running a whip hose with swivel connection to see if it helped with curl up, nope.

Overall like the title says the pro's outweigh the cons, just be aware of it as you use it. If you're stationary during use, the curl up is a non issue.
'The" Hose!

after using the 1/4" flexeel i won't touch another hose. i have a 3/8 flezilla but it just sits coiled on the rack. the flexeel is light, compacts, super-flexable and easy to tote and coil. i even buy raw lengths now from a local hose shop to fab odd ball pneumatic projects including replacing the hose for my 12v portable air pump used when i 4wheel. a cool thing that i discovered is that you can use 1/4" barb fittings and the fit is so tight you don't need to crimp or clamp the end. just lube the inside of the hose and the outside of the barb and push like crazy! for fittings with long barbs, i trim the brass down to only 4 barbs or it's difficult to get the fitting all the way in.
but it is much better than the heavier lines I was using
rodney hurst✓ Verified PurchaseJuly 15, 2023
It still has a little memory and wants to coil at room temperature, but it is much better than the heavier lines I was using. It is light and nice to work with but light means thin. I use it for home garage type stuff. If I were a guy who used it for outside employment, I would doubt it will hold up to the abuse.
