Wow, what a fun kit. I've spent hours relaxing and putting different projects together. You can follow the instructions that come with the kit or let your creative side go crazy. The motor is powerful and all of the pulleys work great. Even for an older person like me, it's a ton of fun. I have very fond memories of erector kits when I was a kid. This brings a lot of those memories back. Glad I found and purchased this. The portioned slots in the carry case help keep parts separated and easy to access. This thing is great and well worth the money. A must have for those who used and remember erector sets.

Bought this as a gift for my daughter, who already had one and wanted more pieces. She is very pleased, as she loves her original set. Quality product, for sure! Lots and lots of pieces to work with, and you can use their designs or make up your own.

Bought this as a gift for our 13 year old grandson and it has kept him busy for almost 6 months now! He makes his own designs with the kit so he has to "think" which is more than the video games you do! He enjoys building and seeing if the things he builds will work and if not than he rebuilds till it does. A great toy to keep minds involved.

We bought this for my daughter for Christmas but we finally got around to using it and the handle for the motor (on/off) switch is broken ☹ï¸. Hopefully the company will send a replacement. I will revise if so.

The set we received is no longer made, it is an older kit. We had trouble with pieces not lining up right, incomplete instructions, pictures that don't really explain well what needs to happen, plastic pieces that don't stand up to the pressure the instructions tell you to put them under, and incorrect measurements for things like crane string or which screw to use (the screws it suggests don't always got for the project). It took my husband and son all afternoon to get a project put together. They made a robot that rolls across the floor. Unfortunately it ran for 3 inches, then died because it stripped out an orange plastic gear-like piece. The projects are meant to move but are so weak they can barely hold their own weight. That and the motor is finicky and will only work if the switch is balanced just perfectly. The plastic case has a screw measuring device built in so you use the right screw for the project. Unfortunately the measurement on the case says completely different measurements than what are in the book. So we had to use a permanent marker to mark which one is which. I complained to the company. My son was so very disappointed. They sent us the newer set that is comparable to this. Unfortunately it had a few of the same problems. He still plays with it but it definitely isn't as advertised. Definitely not worh the money.
