MKA VS PS4 Pro
Tarseno•December 5, 2016
Mortal Kombat Armageddon offered better 3D screenshots than its two predecessors for PS2, a truly original gameplay engine that allowed the fighter to stop Combo even when he was in the air, since the technical Breakers and Parries could be performed in the air. To all this, MKA added a roster of 62 fighters, including 2 new characters (Taven and Daegon) and 14 characters with new designs (Chamelon, Fujin, Jarek, Kai, Kintaro, Meat, Motaro, Rain, Reiko, Sareena, Sektor, Sheeva, Shinnok and Stryker). They were also featured in the game 34 fighting arenas, Arcade mode, Versus mode, Konquest mode (with 60 Relics), Kreate a Fighter mode, Kreate a Fatality mode and Practice mode. As mentioned above, the battle system is very sophisticated. This includes a Combo Meter system and Combo Breaker system together with an Air Kombat system with which you may hit the opponent while in the air through the Air Combos. There is a Moves List, also available in Practice Mode by pressing Start. Finally in the Krypt there are 288 items, none of which falls into the category of "joke" items. An epic game, ultimately, but Pro gamers and their youtubers challenged the unquestionable quality of this game using as motivation only screenshots of the Online Mode, clearly much lower than the screenshots of Offline modes. Pro gamers and their youtubers attacked without reason all the fighting games with a deep single player gameplay come out for PS2, such as Soul Calibur III, Tekken 4, Street Fighter EX3, KOF NeoWave and, of course, Mortal Kombat Armageddon. Already at that time, Pro gamers and their youtubers were a tool in the hands of the industry of video games, used to require the gamers to use the PAY TO WIN method by which transformed the video game in a form of gambling. If you do not belive me, let me tell you the following story:
BEFORE
Thanks to the phenomenal sales of the first two generations of PlayStation consoles (PS1 and PS2) created by Mr. Ken Kutaragi, the PlayStation brand could count on 100-200 million owners of massive collections of video games for PlayStation CD. To make the most of this precious advantage, Mr. Ken Kutaragi made PS3 (and its superb Cell processor) completely backward compatible, simply providing it with the PS2 chipset. The costs of this operation were largely sustainable due to the hundred million PS2 sold worldwide. However, Sony had other plans for the PlayStation brand; so Sony chose to impose the Blu-Ray to pick up the PS3 price above 800$. In addition, at the time of the launch of the PS3, Sony did its best to keep hidden as long as possible the complete backward compatibility of PS3. Following Sony removed backwards compatibility of PS3 at the same time that removed Mr. Ken Kutaragi. At this point, Sony was ready to launch PS4 on the market. PS4 was supported by two AMD processors significantly lower than the Cell processor mounted on the PS3; in fact, Cell processor still remains the console processor that ensures more stable framerate to game screenshots for the benefit of the fluidity of the gameplay (The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Virtua Fighter 5, Soul Calibur IV, Street Fighter IV series, Tekken 6, Mortal Kombat (2011), The King Of Fighters XIII, Soul Calibur V, Street Fighter X Tekken and Tekken Tag Tournament 2 show the value of the Cell processor). The real novelty of the PS4 was the fact that its games were sold under license. This means not only that PS4 video games will have to be re-purchased to be played on the next generation of PlayStation consoles, but also that Sony, in theory, has the power to revoke the license by blocking the installation of video games via the automatic update of the PS4 firmware.
NOW
According to data from VGChartz, Sony has sold 44 million PS4 consoles worldwide, compared with 87 million units sold worldwide through PS3. This is happened because PS4 is not a PlayStation. Sony has decided not to take account of reality, going back on the market with PS4 Pro, a version of PS4 that allows a higher resolution image than the previous one. Unfortunately for Sony, framerate and fluidity of the images remains lower than PS3. For the rest, the video games are sold under license; consequently, Sony can continue to decide for how long you can make use of video games that you buy. In essence, even PS4 Pro is not a PlayStation. Remains a matter to be explored; why on Day One is sold a Beta instead of the full version of the video game? Because in this way may require the gamers to use Patch, Season Pass and DLC to get them used to play via the PAY TO WIN. PAY TO WIN is similar to gambling; consequently all video games with Online Mode should be prohibited for persons under 18 years.
FINAL SCORE:
PS4 Pro 0 stars MKA 5 stars.
