I started having heartburn and painful gas in my upper digestive tract and I did not want to take the PPI's for more than 2 weeks. I did research and chose this NOW product. It has worked like a dream. I take it before every meal and feel great. I do watch what I eat ( no fried food and no liquor) but it's made a big difference for me.

I take either one or two capsules depending on how much I am going to eat that perhaps my stomach isn't really going to like, IE., fried foods, tomato products or bread. My belly doesn't like milk products either and I have found that this really doesn't help with dairy issues. However, NOW has a Dairy Digest which works well for ice cream, cheese and milk! When I eat pizza, I take one of these pills along with a Dairy Digest and they work terrific! I have tried several different digest enzymes and this one works the best for the price. This is the fifth bottle I have bought and trust me, I wouldn't waste my money if it didn't work.
