They've lasted me a good while. Easy to change the bit part. I've had them for a year already and only changed one out. Pretty regular use on wood, FRP, sheetrock, laminate. Rarely used on light metal studs.

Thanks to Pedantic Aussie, below, for pointing out that most centering bits on hole cutters have a hex bolt on the side to adjust the length of the bit.
I already sold my set to my friend but a quick call confirmed that this set does in fact have adjustable centering bits.
So I am an idiot and have adjusted my rating to be in accordance with my friends satisfaction with the set and now I just feel bad for making a crappy original review.

I needed a hole cutter set and I have always appreciated Dewalt's quality.
The centering drill bits don't extend past the cutting edge of the circle saw teeth, so its VERY difficult to keep the cutter from walking. Kind of irritating. I am trying to figure out a way to work around this but so far they're just gathering dust on my shelf right now.
