Spend your money elsewhere. The igniter on this model is problematic.

It worked OK for a year. Once it's lit it works fine. Good flame control and the air mixture is a nice feature, but getting it lit was always hit and miss. After a year or so the piezo never puts out enough spark to light it and since it's out of warranty it'll cost me almost as much to fix it as it cost to buy.
Too bad. I bought this because it was heavy, looked well built, and had a great flame. But the constantly fussy and failing igniter makes it no better than cheaper throw-away models.

Love this torch, best quality I've had.

I had a $12 dollar cheapy torch that I thought I liked, part of it fell off and I replaced it with this torch. Okay, this is a REAL torch, lights easily every time, super high quality and I can turn the flame down to about 1/4" long, I could never come close to that with my old torch. I do wish it would light like a cigarette lighter and not require me to turn the gas on every time I need a quick flame to light fireworks or the charcoal, but I suppose that real torches don't do that and it is a small inconvenience unless you want to use it as a lighter constantly.
Short life

Bought the Blazer GB4001 August 20, 2015 with 30 day return policy; this review was written Nov 13, 2015 close to four months had past when the Blazer nozzle failed by becoming leaky (when bringing the nozzle near my ear I can hear the slow hissing sound). Obviously the flow nozzle has reach its heat resistant short life potential. Never bought a torch before and with a hefty price tag thought I was buying a quality torch that would last years, so needless to say am drastically disappointment at it's flawed design and craftsmanship. Time to move on to another make and model like ProTorch which also has a hefty price tag but what sets it apart from the Blazer is a Two year guarantee. Haven't read the policy yet nonetheless a 2 year guarantee sounds better then 30 days.
but I can recommend this torch emphatically

I can't speak to its industrial applications. I've used mine as a cigar lighter every night for over a year. Works in all weather, adjustment slider works accurately, and it's heavy duty. Just know that with all torches this small, regular butane will clog the torch head over time. Use special refined fluid made for lighters, (Blazer makes their own), or clean the head from time to time with a stiff brush or a little alcohol and a qtip.
I am typically hard to please, but I can recommend this torch emphatically. Far better than the competitors.

Well built torch!

I've owned 6 Bernzomatic butane torches for soldering and none of them even comes close to comparing to the Blazer GB4001. The build quality of this torch is leaps and bounds above the cheaply made Bernzomatics. I would definitely consider buying this product again.
