Used this as a magnet for magnet fishing. It held up well in the water over several weeks. The eye loop can be moved from the top to the side which is nice for switching from fishing to dredging. Only minor complaint is that by design there is a gap between the two magnets that small stuff can get into, and if it's magnetized it can easily get stuck up there and it is a bit hard to remove
