Pretty and solid construction. Badly out of tune and some of the keys stick.

The piano itself looks very beautiful. The shiny red paint and solid wood construction make it feel very substantial. That's the good, here's the bad. There are multiple keys that stick. The piano arrived new and it is horribly out of tune. Not just with any instrument, but with itself. They included a book on teaching kids to play. Not on this thing. It is jarring to hear notes in a scale so completely wrong. Plus there are at least 2 keys that you have to practically hit with a hammer to get to make a sound at all. Very disappointed in the play quality. It's fine for a young infant to bang on for a while but sort of upset that I paid $70 for a brand new piano only to be told by the company that the keys sticking and it being out of tune is part of its "charm".
Great toddler piano

We got this for my daughter at 1 and she loved it, and now at 2 she still loves playing it. I wish it were a little bigger, she has to sit on the floor to play, but the size has never seemed to bother her. The quality and sturdiness of this is very good, what you would expect for the price. I saw some people asking if it sounded like a real piano, the answer of course is no. It sounds like a kid piano. It is tuned so that you can play songs and it doesn't sound bad like a plastic toy (tink-tink-tink sound type) piano, but its somewhere in between.

Oh my goodness...Our two grandsons...1 1/2 and 1 year old can only have let you know how much they loved the piano by the look on their faces as they put their little hands on the keys. Of course, they aren't piano players yet...but the happy faces and their return to see "IF IT STILL WORKS" is their awareness of this instrument is at their beckoned call. There seems to be a "tempo" in their interest...but there is an assured interest. I am thrilled I selected this little piano as an instrument of their love of music. One can only hope that this little piano will take them on a journey especially when their fathers can both direct their boys on how to play this little instrument and that our Steinway will some day have a new home.
This is an adorable little piano

This is an adorable little piano! The frame feels sturdy and well made, but the keys feel pretty cheap and the notes are all a bit flat or off key. The highest octave C on ours is totally flat and it ruins so many songs that we sing together with the piano (I play and teach the kids while they sing along). The action on the keys is hard to get used to (you have to punch the keys a bit instead of gently pressing them).
If you're looking for a cute non-plastic piano for your kid to bang on this is great. If you're looking to play music on a reliable and in-tune instrument with your children, or teach them on it, this might not be for you.

NOPE ... Plastic, Fiberboard, ParticleBoard, MDF ... NO Relative Pitch

THE WORST:
There is no congruent 'relative pitch' ...
That is why you shouldn't purchase this toy.
Get a xylophone with relative pitch, much better choice.
THE BAD:
Keys are cheapest plastic. They get 'hung up'.
It is remedied by running down the entire white keyboard and back.
Keys make an irritating plastic clink-clank when depressed and returned.
Not solid wood. MDF; Fiberboard; Particle aboard; Plastic nameplate piece, ewww!
THE MEH:
The tone is not as nice as a xylophone, but not as bad as electronic.
A plinking noise. Not unforgivable for a toy.
THE GOOD:
The keys are natural, adult size.
The toy is adorable to look at, from a distance.
Nice paint job.
Great size for crawling, sitting baby or toddler!
Fun for pretend.
