Perfect Pliers

This Xcelite 6-piece plier set includes not only a perfect set of pliers, but a beautiful leather case to help keep them in good shape.
Nice tools don't come cheap. They never do. But when you pay the price to land really nice tools they can last a lifetime and possibly beyond.
This is a set that qualifies for the lifetime experience. The set includes a long nose plier, a fine tip needle nose plier, transverse end cutting pliers, diagonal cutting pliers, a flat nose plier, and long nose pliers.
These are six of the most useful pliers you can find. The only plier I wanted to add to this set was the Xcelite Long Needle Nose Plier. Xcelite NN7776V Long Needle Nose Plier with Green Cushion Grip Handle, Serrated Jaw, 6" Length, 2-5/16" Jaw Length, Carded It may be one little extra you want to consider adding to the set; it's an extra long nose plier.
I am very happy with this set and can happily recommend it to others.

This is not the quality I expected from Excite products ...

This is not the quality I expected from Excite products. I think these are Chinese knock-offs. Several pliers had grease stains on the vinyl-covered handles. Others had grease spots on the metal parts. One pair was sticky and difficult to operate. Two of the pliers shipped were almost identical. The leather folio is poorly designed and poorly made. I'm requesting a refund.

Xcelite: My favorite brand of USA-made hand tools for electronics. This assortment packs just about everything you need for working with hobbyist electronics. Combine this kit with some wire-strippers (T-Stripper) and flush cutters (Plato), and you will have your new best friends.
I cannot begin to explain how nice the cushions feel. The spring is a perfect resistance; it won't exhaust your hand, but still opens reliably. They feel precise. The pouch is a nice addition, but it is somewhat difficult to remove and replace the tools from the pockets. Perhaps this will improve as I wear the pouch over time.
